As Infrared beam sensor is the main front-end product for perimeter protection, so it's widely used in factories, communities, troops, airports, villas and other places.
We will introduce to you the solutions to common faults of infrared beams.
Transmitter light does not light up
The reason is that the power supply voltage is not suitable (disconnection, short circuit, etc.).
Solution: check the power supply wiring
Receiver indicator does not light up
The reason is that the power supply voltage is not suitable (disconnection, short circuit, etc.).
Solution: check the power supply wiring
The light is blocked, and the receiver alarm indicator does not light up.
The reason:
1. Light from reflection or other transmitter enters the receiver
2. The two beams are not interrupted at the same time
3. The shading time is too short
Solution:
1. Remove reflective objects or change the direction of the optical axis
2. Interrupt two beams at the same time
3. Extend the shading time
After the light is interrupted, the receiver alarm indicator is on, but there is no alarm signal output.
The reason:
1. Wiring is open or short-circuited
2. Poor contact
Solution:
Check the power wiring or junction
Intermittent alarm signal output
The reason:
1. The optical axis does not coincide
2. There are obstacles between transmitting and receiving
3. The cover is contaminated by dirt
Solution:
1. Re-adjust the optical axis
2. Clear obstacles
3. Clean the cover
Receiver alarm indicator is always on.
The reason:
1. Poor wiring
2. The power supply voltage is lower than the working voltage
3. There are obstacles between transmitting and receiving
4. Unstable installation foundation
5. Insufficient optical axis coincidence accuracy
6. Other moving objects shading
Solution:
1. Check the wiring
2. Check the power supply
3. Remove obstacles or change the installation location
4. Choose a site with a solid foundation
5. Re-adjust the optical axis
6. Adjust the shading time or change the installation location
Optical axis shows repeated voltage jumps
The reason:
1. Poor grounding of the shell of the switching power supply
2. Misaligned optical axis
3. The signal is too weak
Solution:
1. Ground the shell
2. Adjust the optical axis
3. Replace the long-distance infrared detector
